I began teaching drums in the mid 90s at Center Stage Music in Renton Washington and eventually expanded to several schools in the Kent School District and taught for 3 years at Lakota MS in Federal Way as well as the Kennelly Keys stores in Seattle and Bellevue for several years.

If you think you or your child would be interested in studying drums with me and you live in the greater Seattle area.  I now teach at the Donn Bennett Drum Shop in Bellevue,  the A Sharp Music Company in Renton, and at my home in North Seattle.  All the schools I teach at are now in the Seattle School District.

Emphasis is on rudimental development as applied to snare drum and drum set.  Students will develop a basic understanding of all styles including rock, jazz & bebop, blues, funk, and latin and learn reading skills, groove lock, and improvisation skills in the process.  Advanced students will learn several approaches to 4-way independent coordination as well as linear coordination techniques.  Us drummers love to play drums.  Be prepared to practice every day and have a good time!
